Kavya Shrivastava — Visual Artist

Kavya is a student of Visual Arts based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, specializing in acrylic and texture painting on canvas. Her work sits mainly in abstract surrealism and expressionism. She explores bold, expressive compositions with rich layering of texture, acrylic, and mixed media. Each of Kavya's paintings is built up in layers over multiple sessions, creating depth and dimension that photographs can only partially capture.

Kavya aspires to make an impression in the world of arts and wants to create a world free of racism and inequality. She believes in Bharata's (India's) ideology of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the Sanskrit phrase for "the world is one family".

Rashmi Shrivastava — Visual Artist

Rashmi specializes in fluid and pour art — a contemporary painting technique where acrylic paints are poured across the canvas to create organic, flowing compositions. No two pour paintings are ever alike; the unpredictable nature of the medium makes each piece uniquely its own. She also explores texture art, acrylic painting, sketching and charcoal.

Rashmi's works are characterized by vibrant colour palettes and dynamic, free-flowing forms. Her paintings bring energy and movement to any space.

She believes the world should be free from prejudice, and that we share a collective goal of building an earth where everyone is treated equally. She trusts in a verse from the Bhagavad Gita — Karmanye Vadhikaraste, the Sanskrit phrase for "focus on your actions, not the results".
